About Us

About Don & Michelle Babin

Michelle was raised in church and a Christian home.   She received Jesus Christ into her life at the age of ten (10).  She lived a sheltered life and was a good and faithful church member.  She was in the youth choir, went to church camps and was very involved in her youth group.  This obviously gave her a great foundation.  Though she went forward in a church service to be saved at age ten, no one prayed with her or talked with her, explaining what it meant to be saved and know Jesus as the Lord of her life.  Due to this she had years of doubting her salvation.  Years later, when we pastored the church we founded, she came to the place she wanted to clear all doubt and settle the issue once and for all.  I baptized her at the age of about 40.   All doubt left and she was convinced of her relationship with Jesus.

My story is totally different.  I was raised catholic.  IT was during the time when the whole service was in Latin.  Due to this I had no idea what the preaching of the Gospel was all about.  I hated church and did not want anything to do with it.  I saw Christians as nerds and rejects of society.   I had no idea what happened in evangelical Churches.

I started drinking and doing drugs at the age of twelve (12).  This pathway turned out being one of hate, rebellion, anger and all kinds of addictions.  My life was a complete mess.  I had been in jail in several cities and states in the US.  This just made me more angry and rebellious.  I became a confused drug addict with a life that was aimless.   At the age of 22 I heard the gospel preached for my first time.  I was completely amazed at its power.  I accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord the first time I heard the Gospel.

My life was completely transformed.  I walked away from that church service free from all drugs, alcohol, smoking and other addictions.  It was a miracle.  There was a hunger placed in me for Jesus that to this day continues to grow.  I love Him and thank Him daily for how he saved me and gave me a life worth living.

At age 24 I started preaching.  My salvation happened during the days of the Jesus Movement.  I was discipled in coffee house ministries and home bible studies.  Doors began to open for me to travel and share the miracle of His salvation. We saw people saved every time we went to a church.  I was as amazed as anyone else in the results we saw.

I attended Wharton County Junior College and Houston Baptist University.  Doors continued to open for me to go to churches and preach revival and crusades.  For fourteen (14) years Michelle and I traveled in full time evangelism.

Due to having two boys, I knew I needed to be at home with them more.  What good is it to see the world saved and your own family not know dad and be discipled by him.   So in 1993 we began a church and pastored that church for fourteen (14) years.  We saw thousands come to Christ.  We were known as the evangelistic church of that whole region.  We were on the 700 Club, for our evangelism and outreach. We had over 35 cell groups and grew to be a fairly large church.

After fourteen (14) years of pastoring, God called us back to full time evangelism.  We have a heart for the lost and for the local church.  It is our desire to make Jesus famous.
